I’m Alana Josephine Heaton, a queer artist based in Brisbane, specialising in graphic design, illustration, and photography. My passion lies in transforming concepts into stunning visuals, blending artistic flair with technical expertise to create unique, engaging designs that resonate with audiences. Whether it's a captivating illustration or a striking photograph, my work is designed to tell a story and leave a lasting impression.
I’m excited to promote my freelance work, having had the pleasure of collaborating with Gold Coast Fashion Project and Vermillion Records, and currently working with AdvancedLife Photography. With a blue card, a car, and an ABN, I’m available to travel across Brisbane, Redlands, Sunshine Coast, and Gold Coast to bring your creative vision to life. In my practice, I’ve worked with fashion designers, models, musicians, artists, and people of all ages.
I’m happy to offer a Zoom or in-person consultation to develop a customised package tailored to your specific needs. During our consultation, we’ll discuss color themes, backdrops, locations, art/photography style, and your main goals for the project, ensuring that every detail is covered, including costs.
My photography services cover event photography, portraiture/ studio photography, photography/video editing, and custom handmade backdrops and set designs. On the design and illustration side,
I offer services in creating flyers, posters, mood boards, logos, zine designs, book illustrations, moving graphics, typography, and branding.
As for visual artworks, my portfolio includes paintings of acrylic, gouache, watercolor, and oil as well as sketches, mixed media, digital art in a variety of styles and subjects.
My kit is well-equipped with a photography studio kit (including four studio flash lights, backdrops, tripods, two Canon DSLR cameras with lenses etc.), Adobe Creative Suite, Procreate, art supplies, and custom backdrop sheets.
